Kulturní Mosty 

Kulturní Mosty is a newly established non-profit organization based in Prague, Czech Republic, dedicated to facilitating cultural exchanges between the EU and Japan, as well as advancing adult education. 

Our mission is to enhance cross-cultural communication, understanding, and tolerance by serving as a bridge between Japan, the Czech Republic, the EU, and other global partners. We achieve this through educational initiatives, resources, and programs designed to foster intercultural interactions, celebrate diversity, and promote mutual respect.

Leveraging Japan’s rich cultural heritage, we offer adults meaningful opportunities to engage in exchanges that highlight the Japanese approach of adaptability and tolerance. This approach exemplifies how integrating into foreign cultures with minimal conflict and fostering harmony can be a powerful model. By emphasizing these strengths, we aim to boost cultural sensitivity and contribute to a more inclusive society.

At the same time, we are committed to enhancing social and intercultural competence within the European context. We focus particularly on individuals with migrant or refugee backgrounds, and our programs aim to deepen understanding of common EU values, principles of unity and diversity, and cultural identity. Through our initiatives, we raise awareness of these elements and support participants in developing a robust sense of cultural awareness and appreciation for the EU’s social and historical heritage.

Our name, Kulturní Mosty — meaning "Cultural Bridges" in Czech — reflects our dedication to linking diverse cultures. Like bridges, we strive to build strong, supportive connections between communities, helping them to understand and appreciate one another. Our ultimate goal is to create a community where everyone feels valued and understood, regardless of their cultural background.
